Training-of-Trainers Course

The Training-of-Trainers (ToT) course is designed to prepare instructors from Central Asia and Afghanistan to deliver Explosive Ordnance Disposal and Explosive Hazards Awareness and Reduction Courses on a national and international level. The ToT is intended to equip prospective instructors with the understanding of specific training methods and methodologies for training adults as well as how to design, deliver, evaluate and follow-up training event.

Visit of U.S. mission to the OSCE POID

A visit of Christopher Wurzel, the Director of the Office of Resource Management at the U.S. Mission to the OSCE in Vienna was held on 8-9 November, 2018.

The purpose of the visit was to monitor all U.S funded ExB projects that OSCE manages. OSCE POID De-mining team gave him a briefing about the U.S demining contribution and payed a visit to the construction site in Chimteppa.

Becoming an Intelligent Customer for Safe Demilitarization Operations

A ten-day OSCE regional course for 26 military and civilian experts entitled ‘Becoming an Intelligent Customer for Safe Demilitarization Operations’ ended on 25 October 2018 in Almaty, Kazakhstan.

Participants from Georgia, Kazakhstan, Kyrgyzstan, Tajikistan and Turkmenistan had an opportunity to enhance their knowledge and skills for adhering to international guidelines and best practices for the safe, effective and efficient demilitarization of conventional ammunition and explosives.
