The ICExH programme aims to provide targeted capacity development and technical assistance in reducing and responding to Explosive Hazards in the Central Asian pS and in Afghanistan.
The programme also aims to foster dialogue, through capacity development and technical co-operation, with and among individual pS in Central Asia and Afghanistan in addressing primarily Explosive Hazards-related issues as well as to exchange technical experience and best practices.
Through engaging in the ICExH programme the Central Asian pS and Afghanistan are:
- Enhancing national governmental capacities in comprehensive Explosive Hazards reduction and response in accordance with international standards. They are provided with the opportunity to develop national trainers (instructors) and training programmes (training curricula) in the field of Explosive Ordnance Disposal, Explosive Hazards Awareness and Response as well as Training-of-Trainers.
- Participating in the structured format for the exchange of experiences and best practices in comprehensive Explosive Hazards reduction and response. The national experts and practitioners are provided with the opportunity to attend programme exchange visits, partake in the programme’s expert network and access technical level information such as training materials via ICExH programme web page.
